Short update from Bruxelles!

First off, I am in Brussels. The first six hours here was not too pleasant because I was too early (later tickets costed a bomb) and the district right outside the Thalys Eurostar station of Brussels-Midi was really intimidating. I did not like it. It was a typical kind of place you would totally avoid. There was graffiti everywhere and every single part smelled like piss. Each street I crossed, there were more Middle Easterns, etc. And they looked scary. No offense to Belgians but it scared me. I did walk, anyway, at least twenty minutes far out and it was eye-opening. Then finally I made my way to Herrmann-Debroux station and met my first official Couchsurfing host, Geraldine. She is working right now so I am looking around on my own. I dont know if I can update today but I would do it when I get to Brugges where I will be living in a hotel instead. I am the Grand Market and it is AMAZING as hell. I swear it is just so picturesque. I went crazy with the pictures. I had some free chocolate, bought a chocolate teddy bear, ate some great Belgian waffle (it REALY was good) and now I am trying my best to look for Mannaken Pis myself. I visited three churches and prayed at one. I must say I am pretty good at finding places myself! :-) Will update soon. I have a lot of pictures! A LOT! I am doing great so much love to those who emailed or texted me!

P.S. The French keyboard has no apostrophe so you cant blame me :-(

P.P.S. This keyboard at the Visit Flanders tourism office has smiley keyboard buttons! I will post a picture soon!

  1. Smiley buttons! OMG! I could be entertained for hours just messing with those. haha! But that also may be just because I am easily amused. lol! You should try German Chocolate cake...It's pretty amazing, or at least I think so. But I'm a little biased...I pretty much like anything German. haha! Super glad you're having a good time, be safe. :)
